We have a new opportunity for a program manager to join our blue chip client on an initial 4 month contract basis.
This role offers Hybrid working and is outside IR35
Role Aim
To Lead a dedicated team of 6 Project Managers delivering a global upgrade and h/w replacement of WIN 7 devices to WIN 10. Main responsibility will be to ensure the global team is working in a cohesive manner delivering the roll-out programme with full Governancedocumentation, cost management and stakeholder / customer reporting. To coordinate all aspects of programme delivery, to interface with all project stakeholders and to manage escalations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Act as the Single Point of Contact internally but also to the client
*Ensure the programme is coordinated through all project phases to completion in line with the requirements, quality standards, budget and timescales to meet the customers' expectations
*Create and regularly maintain all required project profitability reporting documentation
*Create and regularly maintain all required project documentation, i.e. PID, Project Workbook (incl., Action Log, Risk Log), Project Schedule, Project Cost Tracker
*Coordinate all activities of the project teams through task delegation, resource assignment and overall programme management
*Produce weekly and/or monthly reports on the performance of the programme and where necessary present weekly/monthly status reports
*Manage the delivery of the programme, including scope control and change management, escalating to the programme board where necessary
*Identify any required amendments to programme documents, e.g. plans or contracts and manage these via change control
*Ensure that any in-house and Partner resources are assigned to the programme activities and that they are fully briefed and have the required skills, tools and instructions to complete the required work to the agreed quality and performance levels
*Identify & track all costs incurred in delivering the programme via the Project Cost Tracker, created during programme start-up.
*Provide accurate and timely billing statements on a monthly basis, working closely with the Project Services and Finance teams to ensure that costs are allocated to the project and that any invoice queries are swiftly resolved.
*Identify all key stakeholders - internal & external - during project start-up and manage them accordingly throughout the project.
*Engage regularly with key stakeholders ensuring clear and concise communications
*Develop and maintain close working relationships with the Customers Project and Operations/Service Delivery teams to understand their business needs.
*Own any programme related escalation or complaint logged by the customer.
*Manage any risks to programme delivery, by analysing them and identifying actions to mitigate the impact of the risk, using the Risk Log tab in the Project workbook, to capture all progress and other updates.
*Escalate any high impact risks to the Director
SKILLS
*Knowledge of Win 7 to Win 10/11 upgrades
*At least 5 years-experience within an IT Service Management and/or Project Management environment
*Ability to establish excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients
*Experienced in delivering presentations and customer facing Service/Project reviews
*Diplomatic and influential with good negotiation skills
*Highly organised with confidence and ability to work under own initiative
*Ability to identify and resolve problems
*Flexibility/commitment
*Ability to manage urgent and complex tasks simultaneously
*Ability to work under pressure
*Proficient/Expert level knowledge of MS Office/O365 suite.
*Being proactive in taking action and anticipating outcomes
*Experience of working with offshore/near shore/remote teams and resources.
*Retaining objectivity and proper understanding of a problem or situation when placed under conditions of stress
*International experience of benefit
*Experienced in effective problem-solving techniques with ability to resolve individually or through facilitating a team of appropriate experts.
*Influencing and persuading others to take a specific course of action when there is no direct line of command or control.
*Proficient in the use of automated tools to assist in the project management process by automating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing and time recording, e.g. Microsoft Project.
*Understanding the needs, objectives, and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions
*Keeping overall objectives and strategies in mind, and not being deflected from these when dealing with matters of detail
*The role involves No direct reports, but resources will need to be matrix managed. The numbers will be dependent on the specific project
