Due to the ongoing success of our company, we are looking for another installer to provide the 1st class service we pride ourselves on.
**Job Purpose**
They will bring a high level of professional workmanship and a memorable and friendly experience every time using various different hand tools to carry out all our projects and will utilise clear and understandable worksheets on site to ensure easy and safe installation.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Arrange your workload ensuring you have the correct products and fittings to complete each job.
- Able to route and plan your day and demonstrate cost efficiency on fuel and expenses.
- Accurately fit and install blinds, shutters, and related window treatments in residential and commercial properties according to the customers specifications and our company standards.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools such as drills, saws, levels, and measuring tapes to complete installations efficiently and accurately.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the company's blinds and shutters products, including different styles, materials, and operation mechanisms, to provide knowledgeable after care and usage instructions to customers
- Ensure the quality and the integrity of our installations by inspecting finished work for proper fit, function, and appearance, and addressing any issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the installation process, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- You must treat your customer and their property with total respect and always leave the customers property clean and tidy.
- Develop a great rapport with our customers to ensure they will use our services and recommend us in the future.
- Identify and troubleshoot installation challenges or issues that may arise, such as uneven surfaces, structural obstacles, or product defects, and implement effective solutions to ensure successful completion.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimise any risks of accidents or injuries during installations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and materials.
- Accurately complete any paperwork, including installation reports, work orders, and customer invoices, to ensure proper documentation of all completed jobs.
- Keep up to date with training and development required to improve knowledge and skills for installations.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and maintain product knowledge of all Forth Blinds products.
- Work with other team members, including sales associates, designers, and administrative staff, to coordinate installations and provide seamless customer experiences.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition to ensure safety productivity and efficiency during installs
- Follow company policies and procedures relating to our installation standards, safety protocols, how to interact with customers and other operational guidelines.
**Role Requirements**
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience working as a Blind installer/fitter, with a track record of successful installations and excellent customer feedback
- Good Joinery skills with ability to complete a high degree of manual work which requires a good level of strength and endurance
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of customers, staff and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in a dynamic fast paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and working hours to accommodate customers and complete installations within the agreed timescale which may include occasional evening or weekend work.
- Experience in use of Power tools and working at height.
- Demonstrate health and safety awareness and knowledge
- Ability to handle working under pressure from onlooking customers
- Excellent time management and organisational ability, to manage different duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
