**About the Specifications Technologist job**:
The purpose of your role will be to complete specifications on web-based retail specification systems including all supporting documentation.

**Key tasks**:

- Prepare and maintain internal specifications including all supporting documentation.
- Maintain and update supplier assurance systems as required.
- Check artwork to final copy ensuring packaging information is correct and legal for new and existing product development.
- Update/maintain hard copy and computer-based files.
- Request ingredient and packaging specifications, ensuring they are correct and available when required.
- Produce external reports as requested by customers.
- Assist other departments and members of the technical team with product technical data as required.

**About You**:

- Educated to a degree level within a food related discipline is desirable.
- Food industry technical experience with knowledge of writing product specifications using retailer systems.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Food legislation understanding.
- Experience and ability to operate in a fast-paced working environment and a proven track record in meeting demanding timescales.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.
