This position offers the opportunity to join an established business, working in a fast paced environment.
The Communications & SHEQ Administrator is required to work in the office a couple of times a week with some home working also possible.
Main purpose of the Communications & SHEQ Administrator:
Communications Officer: To develop internal and external communication channels including the Website, Intranet, LinkedIn, Project Profiles, Quarterly Newsletter, SW People News
SHEQ: To provide direct administration support to the SHEQ manager and liaison with area operational resource covering all administrative task associated with the SHEQ department.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the follow activities
Communications
- Website:
- populating the company website with up-to-date information including 'What we do, project profiles, innovation, customer update information
- Sharepoint:
- ensuring company documents such as SHEQ policy. Procedures and instruction are available along with other similar document across the business
- Visiting sites to take photos and develop project profiles
- Developing and publishing a quarterly newsletter
- Optimising opportunities to showcase CBUL in other publications eg, SW People News and Parent Company newsletters
- Coordinating company events such as quarterly Stand-Downs
SHEQ
- Book training
- Maintain training database
- Accidents and Incidents
- Maintaining accurate records
- Issuing safety alerts
- Ensuring time keeping with Rule of 2 Reporting
- Toolbox Talks and Safety Alerts
- Maintain accurate records of talks and alerts given
- Alert local area managers of their resource that has not received same
- Monitor driver’s hours compliance
- Maintain HGV movements spreadsheet
- Highlight any driver infringements, missing documentation, and checks
- Escalate all infringements to managers
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly MI
Experience required
- Competent I.T. skills (MS Word and Excel)
- Strong administration skills
- Good communicator
- Strong social media understanding
