**Personal Support Worker P/T F/T**:
Personal Assistant Needed for Young Man with Complex Medical and Physical Needs.
- Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for making a difference in the lives of others?
- We are seeking a kind and reliable personal assistant to provide exceptional care for a 25-year-old man with complex medical needs. He has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy (dystonic and spastic type), requiring the use of a gastrostomy tube for feeding, and experiences epilepsy, complex suctioning needs, obstructed airway apnea, and requires specialized seating for optimal positioning and pressure management.
- Responsibilities:

- Assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.)
- Providing nutritional support through the gastrostomy tube
- Performing airway suctioning as needed
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any concerns to the healthcare team
- Implementing positioning strategies and adjustments in the specialized seating system and sleep system
- Ensuring adequate hydration
- Providing transportation to day centre, community and social outings
- Engaging in leisure activities and social interaction
- Offering emotional support and companionship
- Qualifications: Preferred
- Experience caring for individuals with complex medical needs, including cerebral palsy
- Familiarity with gastrostomy tube feeding and airway suctioning techniques
- Strong understanding of positioning and pressure management principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Preparing and administering of medication
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and a commitment to providing quality care
- Very confident driver with a few years local driving experience.
