**Bakery -Production Team Members**

**Work Hours**

Full-Time: 44hrs Per Week

Shift Pattern: 4 x 12hr shifts
- 6am-6pm any days between Sunday to Friday or 6pm to 6am (Rotating Days/Nights)

Rate of pay: £10.42 per hour and an increase to £10.92 after 4 weeks service

We currently produce a range of quality frozen 'bake off' and craft bakery products from our Workington bakery and we are looking for energetic and friendly people to join our baking family.

**About the role**:
We are looking for “Production/Packing Operatives” to join our fast growing team and business based in Workington, Cumbria.

Your main tasks will be to ensure products are produced and packed in an efficient and timely manner to the highest possible quality standards working to our customer specifications.

**Responsibilities & Requirements**
- Prepare and pack our fantastic bakery products against customer orders
- Assist in the smooth running of the bakery by contributing your energy to a variety of tasks within the bakery.
- Help us to ensure that you and your colleagues are working in a safe and hygienic workplace.
- Complete paperwork ensuring a high level of accuracy.
- Ensure all products are packed efficiently, correctly labelled in accordance with the packing specification.
- Report any Out of Spec Products/Machinery issues/Non-Conformances/ to team leader/supervisor promptly.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
- Follow and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Must have good organisational and time-keeping skills
- **Must be 18 years old or over.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the packaging line to prepare materials for production
- Assist with the packaging of product and palletizing of product into boxes or bags
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and all equipment
- Ensure that all product meets quality standards and is properly labeled
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Work overtime as needed to support the needs of the department

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Experience with labelers preferred but not required.
- Experience with an ERP system preferred but not required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Ability to follow written instructions and read a tape measure/calibrator.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently and be able to stand for long periods of time.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
