Project Worker
We are seeking to recruit a passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic Project Worker for a brand new young people's Hub in Horsham.
You will be part of developing an innovative and exciting safe space for young people, offering early intervention support to work with them at a crucial time in their lives - to help get them back on track and strengthen their ability to manage their mental health in the future.
As a Project Worker, your role will be to provide support during the opening hours of the project, conducting triage of young people who access the project and providing specialist advice and resources through an offer of brief support. You will offer effective and appropriate signposting to other agencies and contribute to the development of approaches to work with young people with support needs including mental health, wellbeing, education, employment and training and homelessness.
- Engage calmly and with sensitivity and empathy to support service users in highly distressing or emotional circumstances.
- To work in partnership with other agencies to gain the best person centred outcomes for young people
- To ensure all service users are aware of activities which may be of benefit to them and how these can be accessed.
- To provide a highly specialised range of interventions and knowledge of evidence based models of practice relevant to the young people.
- To respond to concerns that may be raised by schools, parents or young people aged 14 - 25
- Engage with and gather information from young people, relatives and patient records to develop an appropriate plan
Our vision is to improve the quality of life for the communities we serve.
We're working to achieve our mission and vision through our organisational strategy: people, prevention and partnerships. This involves:
- Joining up services in partnership across health, social care, housing, employment and education
- Creating and sustaining a collaborative, compassionate and caring organisational culture which promotes inclusion
- Using our resources wisely, which includes research, innovation and learning to develop new treatments and develop our workforce
- Promoting health, wellbeing and resilience within the communities we serve.
CAMHS services recognise that young people may be affected by challenges to their emotional wellbeing and mental health at all times. With this in mind our responses are required to be dynamic and needs led,. As part of our exciting transformation agenda colleagues may be required to work outside of the 9.5 working pattern.
This would be negotiated on an individual basis and as part of Sussex Partnership NHS trusts wider commitment high quality services, that are both flexible and accessible to all our users whilst supporting colleagues in pursuit of their own work life balance.
