Production Planner

The Production Planner has responsibility to effectively plan factory production and maintain forecasts to meet the expected output of the business, to achieve its customer service targets, together with growth and cost targets.
The Production Planner will develop the forecasts for the business by analysing demand, evaluating forecast modelling results, and work within the supply chain team to effectively plan factory output and material flows.
**Role Key Deliverables**
Achieve key targets set by the Operations Manager including:
- _Customer on-time delivery_
- _Engage with procurement to support availability of materials to enable production of works orders on time in full._
- _Preparation of production plans. Working from and adding input to forecasts to enable scheduling/releasing of production works orders._
- _Engage with the Production Manager to ensure the production plan is achieved_
- _Liaising with Customer Service on production status_
**Required Experience and Skills**
- Professional qualification, Diploma or equivalent (not essential but desirable)
- Experience of planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment using multi-level BOMs
- Proven track record of achievement in a relevant position
- Driven, with a can-do attitude and a will to develop new skills and progress within the company should opportunities arise.
- Experience of forecasting and safety stocks.
- Able to work across a large range of product codes with various material lead times.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
**Benefits**
- 25 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays pro rata
- Half day Friday (1.30pm finish)
