**Job Overview**
Friends and Places Together is a Southend-based charity dedicated to helping vulnerable young people build and maintain friendships outside of school and college.
**Role Purpose**
You will provide administrative support to the organisation, helping ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently. The successful applicant will need to quickly develop an understanding of how our charity works in order to support staff, maintain records, and manage communication effectively.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Coordinator and CEO
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Produce and update documents, reports, and other materials as required
- Use IT systems confidently and effectively to support organisational operations
- Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- Collection & recording of compliance for onboarding of new staff members
- Escalating incident forms, recording follow-up actions, and filing
- Maintaining and updating client/staff/volunteer databases
- Creating/maintaining contact lists for schools, services, social workers
- Managing, depositing and auditing petty cash alongside Co-Ordinator
- Updating and maintaining the organisation’s website
- Producing quarterly newsletters
- Preparing meeting agendas
- Ensuring office & activity stock is recorded & maintained
- Check payroll, timesheets, invoices, and transport expense records in compliance with GDPR
- Maintain HR records, DBS checks, and staff well-being documentation
**Role Requirements**
- Completion of full DBS check
- Strong administrative skills, including strong ability to use Excel
- Either professional administrative experience or a qualification related to business administration
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
