Are you interested in joining a growing global manufacturing organisation? At Origin, we are looking for a new Health and Safety Officer who will work as part of the Operational Risk Team, having a hands on approach to Health and Safety within a Manufacturingenvironment with the opportunity to bring a fresh pair of eyes and a strong continual improvement approach to workplace safety.
**Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Officer includes but is not limited to**:

- Review and action Health and Safety Risk and Legal registers
- Writing, reviewing, and updating Risk Assessments inline with current legislation and any changes in working practices
- Conduct Accident Investigations
- Monitor Near Misses and Hazard Spots
- Control the site and off site PPE requirements
- COSHH management
- Generate Health and Safety reports
- Arrange Health & Safety Training and carry out safety talks on an ADHOC basis
- ISO internal Audits and BSI audits
- Proactive approach to site safety including walk rounds and safety checks

**Who you are**:

- Experience in Health and Safety Management Certifications (BSI 45001 or equivalent)
- Knowledge of general IT systems including spreadsheets, word processing, systems and other databases
- Experience of producing and managing company documentation and reports
- Experience in conducting Risk Assessments
- Experience in conducting Internal Audits, writing the report and recording findings
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information
- Ability to approach unacceptable practices in a professional manner
- Second language (Spanish/Polish) _Desirable_
- Project Leadership Experience_ Desirable_

**Qualifications**
- IOSH as a mínimal safety qualification (NEBOSH preferred)
- First Aider
- Minimal of C (or equivalent) in both Maths and English
