The IoH, an educational charity, is in an enviable position to lead the global hospitality sector in EDI, creating educational resources, Continuing Professional Development (CPD), articles, publish white papers, case studies and supporting businesses andindividuals with EDI strategies and best practices.
As our EDI lead, you’ll lead the evolution and local delivery of our EDI strategy and roadmap for change, breaking down barriers and opening opportunities for our industry to connect with a wider group of people.
You will work closely with our leadership team and EDI volunteers to set and deliver our EDI strategy, ensuring EDI is woven through our wider strategic ambitions and connecting initiatives.
You will provide a resource to our near 15,000 members worldwide, for knowledge and support in the field of EDI.
You will provide regular updates to our Executive Leadership team ensuring their support for EDI, and you will investigate funding sources to further our strategic ambitions for EDI education.
What you will bring to the Institute will be a deep understanding and experience of leading an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy with enthusiasm and an inclusive mindset.
- Knowledge of the range and diversity of the hospitality, leisure, and tourism industries.
- An academic or HR background.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
This is a full-time role with flexible working practices.
Success in this role will be increased diversity activities across our sector, promotion, and education as to the value of EDI, industry collaboration to tackle the challenges ahead and sharing best practice.
**HOURS**: Full Time - 35 hours a week
**LOCATION**:Hybrid - office and home
