As a Barclays Controls Business Partner, you will be providing risk and governance expertise and educational support. Using your knowledge, you will be providing consultation and guidance on risk and control matters as needed. You will be providing clear articulation of the risk and control landscapes including ability to demonstrate an understanding of control requirements for relevant internal Barclays and external regulatory policies. You will provide advice on policies and procedures and the oversight and management of risk.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Working with stakeholders across the lines of defence to ensure that the risk profile for aligned business areas are complete, accurate and maintained
- Providing support in the delivery of the annual RCSA process including the monitoring of delivery against key milestones
- Maintaining an understanding of the Barclays Control Framework and other relevant Policies and be able to interpret these and deliver fit for purpose training
- Participating in Change Risk Assessments, including operating model, process reviews and due diligence to ensure material business change/growth is managed in a safe and sustainable manner

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience in a Control Function environment (first, second or third line of defence)
- Ability to influence at senior management level and proven track record of influencing control environment

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to continually raise the bar on risk culture through the provision of training and education
- Prior experience in developing and motivating the wider team

**Where will you be working?**

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
