Joule Group Ltd is a multinational manufacturing and distribution group with sites in the UK and across Europe. Due to our continued growth, we require an Accounts Assistant to join us in our UK entity, based in our newly built office in Pontefract.

This is the ideal position for someone who is driven and eager to progress their career in accounting. The role is designed to fit alongside someone’s studies and give real life experience to develop and progress towards becoming a qualified accountant.

The accounts assistant would sit as part of the core finance team, and report directly to the Finance Manager with regular Professional Development Reviews (PDRs) to ensure that they are fully supported in their professional journey.

**Initially you would train and develop in, but not limited to**:

- Assisting with all transactional duties;
- Balance sheet reconciliations; including fixed assets, accruals and prepayments;
- Posting journals;
- Supplier payments;
- Assisting with compiling monthly management accounts;
- Building relationships with customers and suppliers;
- Preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payroll;
- Other payroll tasks as needed;
- Introduction to taxes;
- Contribution to team projects.

**Skills, knowledge and experience**:

- Studying or planning to begin studying ACCA/CIMA
- Hard working with excellent attention to detail;
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and MS Office Software;
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative;
