With all the many changes in school governance over the past few years, having an experienced Clerk/Governance Professional is more important than ever. **Could this be you?**

Applicants for onsite meetings must have their own transport and be prepared to work flexibly as school/trust meetings are held both during the day and in the evenings.

This role will suit individuals who already have a proven experience at either primary or secondary level and/or working within MATs**. However, Juniper Education has a training programme for those with some or no experience in an educational setting who would like to become a Clerk/Governance Professional.**

We are looking for individuals who have excellent organisational skills, can work unsupervised and who have good listening, oral and literacy skills with previous experience of accurate and well-presented agenda writing and minute taking.

Our clerks are fully supported by our two Lead Clerks and are given regular briefing and training sessions. This all helps with the advice and guidance given to Governors/Trustees in order that they can undertake their own role effectively and in line with statutory requirements, regulations and governance law.

The role of our Clerks/Governance Professionals is to provide peace of mind and reassurance to the many Boards we support.

**Previous experience in a similar role withing the education sector is desirable**

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: Up to £14.10 per hour
