The assistant management accountant role produces and oversees financial reports that give senior managers insights into the organisation's performance. The role itself is a pivotal position within the company working in the accountancy department and areresponsible for overseeing general accounting procedures and practices within the business, whilst analysing and preparing financial reports to assist and promote internal profitability.

**Client Details**

The client we are currently cooperating with are a logistics maintenance and manufacturer mainly dealing with vehicular and transport services. The client conduct on a national scale and have a wide range of clients from all disciplines. The company areagain looking to expand their current finance depart in attempt to keep up with the influx of demand and proceedings.

**Description**

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the financial controller
- Preparing accounting entries for other movements in loan notes and ensure reconciliations are kept up to date
- Preparing VAT returns
- Preparing budgets and forecasts
- Assisting the Financial Controller with review and analysis of operational costs and margins, providing insight
- Assisting with implementation of appropriate internal controls and procedures and ensure compliance
- Ad hoc duties
- Full end to end Management Accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and post journal entries onto the accounting system
- Oversee the export of trial balances from the system and upload data

**Profile**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Qualified or either studying ACCA
- Mathematical skills and in-depth knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles
- An in-depth understanding of analytics
- The ability to work as a part of a team
- The ability to man manage a team
- The ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- The attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with accounting software, such as Xero or QuickBooks or Excel
- CIMA/ACCA studying or qualified
- Sufficient experience in the finance or accountant department
