Shropshire, United Kingdom Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Full time

The Shropshire Psychological Therapies Service is a busy caring team consisting of Administration staff, PWPs, CBT Practitioners, and Counsellors.

We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.

Role: Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Grading/salary: Band 7

Permanent

Hours:37.5 per week (full time)

Base: Severn Fields Health Village, Shrewsbury. Blended working, consisting of some face to face work, with working online remotely with video/telephone. Pure remote working can be negotiated.

The Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) role is fast paced, rewarding and patient focused. You will provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions for moderate-to-severe depression and anxiety disorders, such as OCD, PTSD and GAD.

This role involves assessment and treatment in both telephone, online & face to face settings. We also provide treatment in groups settings (currently online). Regular clinical supervision is provided, including Long Term Health Conditions. The service has a strong commitment towards continuing professional development (CPD) programme including relevant clinical and service issues.

As a service we pride ourselves in providing and adhering to a range of NICE approved evidence based treatments. These treatments include low intensity CBT, Counselling for Depression, IPT, EMDR, and Couples Counselling for Depression.

IT literacy and computer confidence is essential to all members of our team. We use IAPTus for all of our service user records therefore experience of this or other patient management systems would be useful.

You will need an excellent telephone manner and a calm, professional approach at all times and be able to work under pressure in an environment where the work can be stressful and difficult.

Our staff are highly valued and recognised as our greatest asset. We provide high quality clinical and management supervision, as well as regular clinical skills training, CPD and personal development opportunities. In return we expect that our team are goal driven, and display the highest levels of knowledge, skills and professional standards.

Please note, this service operates between the hours of 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday and therefore applicants must be available to work outside of normal working hours at least once a week, which will be agreed with their Line Manager.
