We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team, on a 6 month fixed term contract, to work closely with our managers and directors, providing high quality, timely and insightful performance information whilst ensuring costs are controlled through excellent overhead reporting.

Commercial awareness is key as you will support our retail brands under the Hunter Douglas group of companies, such as Hillarys and Thomas Sanderson, with budgeting and forecasting, tracking advertising spend, overhead costs and completing balance sheet reconciliations. Adaptability is pivotal as you deal with multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.

You will provide business partnering for our Thomas Sanderson brand by producing reports, attending trading meetings and reviewing the P&L with the management team, delivering commercial insights and providing recommendations for action. You will be confident in explaining financials to non-finance managers as you work on product launches and projects, providing a commercial view backed by strong analysis and a good understanding of retail.

A strong attention to detail is required as you take on management accounts responsibilities (month-end, forecasts and budgets), decision support and reporting. You will also maintain strong financial controls over cost centres, monthly reconciliations and budget/forecasts to prevent surprises as the year progresses.

You will also be responsible for managing the Finance Analyst whose key responsibility is month-end, exhibiting positive role model behaviours that promote an open culture, team work and professional standards.

**Essential skills and qualifications**:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or finalist;
- Experience of Power BI would be an advantage;
- SAP knowledge is also preferred.
