JN Civils Ltd is a civil engineering company providing utilities infrastructure for Gas, Water, Electric and Telecoms to leaders in the utilities sector. Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our ever-growing team of professionals within our Telecoms utilities division. The role is for a Reinstatement Agent based in Blackpool managing the Cheshire & Merseyside areas.
The Reinstatement Agent will work with our current management team and be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of reinstatement works and correction of reinstatement defects.
The role involves the completion of multiple sites on a rolling programme, to the specified quality, the required timescales and to the maximum commercial performance. The Supervisor must liaise closely with internal delivery teams, Clients, local authorities, work gangs, sub-contractors, purchasing/plant department and Quantity Surveyors and are ultimately responsible the successful completion of the works.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assume overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the works
- Organise & plan the works ensuring Programme, Safety and Quality targets are met
- Ensure the works are completed as economically efficiently as possible
- Keep accurate records and provide progress reports for internal and external stake holders
- Meet with Client teams and Local Authority representatives to agree extent of works and agree programme for completion
- Ensure all permits are in place for planned works
- Organise and manage all necessary resources for works including traffic management, labour, sub-contractors plant and materials
- Complete quality checks of ongoing works and complete snagging inspection of completed schemes, issue snagging lists as necessary and produce QA sign off sheets on completion of works
- Complete weekly returns including labour returns, plant & material returns, safety report and plant inspections
- Maintain contemporary records including diary, allocation sheets, daywork records and additional works records
- Measure completed works and liaise closely with site QS to ensure all completed works are valued
**Qualifications /Experience**
SMSTS or SSSTS and NRSWA required
Working knowledge of HAUC specification and Street-works permitting system desirable
