Bricklayer Labourer

**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Lay bricks, blocks, and stones in accordance with specifications and blueprints.
- Mix mortar and other materials as required for construction tasks.
- Cut and shape bricks using hand tools and power tools to fit specific designs.
- Construct walls, arches, and other structures with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform repairs on existing masonry structures, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and roofers, to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers when necessary.
- 7am-5pm (**weekend work available, x1.5 pay rate**)
- On-Call Rota (After 5PM **£50 bonus on rota, £100 if called out & x1.5 pay rate**)

**Skills**
- Proficient in bricklaying techniques with a solid understanding of masonry principles.
- Experience using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels effectively.
- Familiarity with power tools including saws and mixers used in masonry work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during construction.
- Previous experience as a carpenter or in related construction trades is advantageous.

**Drivers Licence Essential. Must be over the age of 21.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: £18.50-£20.00 per hour

- Plastering: 1 year (preferred)
- Bricklaying: 1 year (required)
- Masonry: 1 year (preferred)
