This is a Swift Temps vacancy who are operating as an employment agency.

An excellent an rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced accounts assistant to join our client, a market leading security printing business based in Birmingham.

The company is offering part-time working opportunity with flexibility to either work around school hours 5 days per week or full days over a 3 day period.

AAT qualified is preferred but not essential and would suit someone training for their CIMA. The role is predominantly KA2 Sales ledger however must be flexible doing PL & SL for sickness and holiday cover.

Duties involve:
providing an Accounting and Administrative function primarily to the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger of the Finance department.

**Key Accountabilities of the Accounts Assistant**

**Purchase Ledger**
- Setting up of new suppliers onto the system, imprint & sage.
- Matching, batching and coding of purchase invoices.
- Distribution of supplier invoices for authorisation to various departments for approval.
- Approval of purchase invoices.
- Monitor and review of outstanding invoices with prompt resolution of queries.
- Ensuring all supplier invoices are filed accurately and timely.
- Posting purchase order invoices onto Imprint.
- Posting purchase order invoices onto Sage.
- Supplier statement reconciliation.
- Processing monthly payment runs & raising cheque payments.

**Sales Ledger**
- Raising Sales Invoices on a daily basis.
- Running the weekly reports.
- Arranging job bags that have been invoiced ready for filing.
- Sales by customer/product/country analysis EOM reports.
- Assisting with annual audit of Accounts.
- Uploading Sales invoices to Accounting software.
- Credit control.

**Bank and Cash Allocation**
- CID posting.
- Monthly credit card reconciliation.
- Petty cash payments & monthly reconciliation.
- Taking customer card payments over the telephone.
- Assist with Month end reporting.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
