Trainee Carpenter

Looking for Carpentry & Timber Frame Trainees who are willing to follow the new STA (Structural Timber Association) route towards gaining a CSCS card (industry standard to allow access to construction sites) and NVQ in Structural Timber Frame Erection. We are not currently looking for applicants who wish to follow the college block release / Apprentice route.

Expected Areas of site-based work: London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent

Own transport is essential. Apprentice / Trainee day rate in line with NMW and age-dependent, £45 - £75 per day whilst you learn the trade. Travel can be subsidised for longer trips when agreed to. You will be working with and learning from experienced carpenters & timber frame erectors on site 5 days a week and working through training booklets to gain experience and evidence for NVQ. A great opportunity to learn a trade hands-on rather than in a classroom.

- No weekends

Site specific and based on Gov guidance. COVID Risk Assessment will need to be signed up to however majority of work is outdoors which limits the precautions required. Communal and indoor areas advise masks, as per current guidance.
