We have the opportunity for appropriately trained Emergency Practitioner(s) to join our amazing team of Enhanced and Advanced Clinical Practitioners within the Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) Directorate at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT). We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated NMC/HCPC Registered Nurse’s, Paramedics or Physiotherapists with the right attributes and an interest in Acute Injury and Minor Illness management. To work alongside our multidisciplinary team within the integrated Urgent Treatment Care (iUTC) at Peterborough City Hospital (PCH) and the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) at Stamford and Rutland Hospital. Our EP’s also spend time teaching, training, supporting and developing trainee and junior staff from nursing, medical and allied healthcare professional backgrounds as part of their role. To provide and facilitate an expert level of autonomous practice within the Urgent treatment centre within the emergency department and Stamford minor injuries unit, specialising in minor injury and minor illness management. To provide dynamic clinical leadership, enhance clinical activity, and maintain high quality emergency care You will need to be a registered nurse / paramedic with a recognised autonomous practice qualification including a minor injury and or a illness component at level 6/7 and have previous or experience ( > 5 years) of providing clinical care within an emergency / urgent care or a minor injury type setting. Experience in a primary care is also advantageous.
