Electrical Design Engineer

£30,000 to £40,000 per annum DOE plus possible Overtime, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays + onsite parking

Electrical Design Engineer sought within a Bristol based manufacturing control systems specialist offering clean working conditions, up to date technology and to be part of a growing organisation.

The role will be suited to experienced electrical design engineers from any electrical design background, exposure to high volume manufacturing control systems would be highly advantageous but all skilled electrical design engineers will be considered. Youwill have strong knowledge of any 2D and 3D CAD packages, experience with AutoCAD or WSCAD ideal.

The core function of the role will be producing mechanical drawings and electrical schematics using AutoCAD for a high-volume control systems manufacturer. You will form part of the whole design and development process, this will include involvement in initialspecification meetings, assuming ultimate responsibility for all electrical elements of the project ensuring effective liaison between all electrical and mechanical designers within the team. You will have a good commercial awareness with the ability to workto planned timescales, play a key role in project progress meetings with engineering management and assist technically on the build phase of the project.

The role in brief:
*Electrical Design using AutoCAD or WSCAD for control systems.
- Assume overall responsibility for all electrical elements through the project lifecycle.
- Ensure engineering designs are completed to planned timescales
- Attend project progress meetings with engineering management
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration between all mechanical and electrical engineers and clients throughout the project

The Person Required:

- Experienced electrical design engineer from any design and development background, control systems experience highly advantageous, but all relevant experience considered.
- Electrical/mechanical engineering qualifications are beneficial but not required

*Work overtime as required on occasion in line with business needs, paid at 1.5 x base rate, 2.0 x on Sundays
