Wood is recruiting a Shutdown Coordinator to provide advanced constructability input to event readiness by optimizing shutdown knowledge and experience to reduce construction costs; improve quality, safety and productivity; shorten / optimise schedules; and reduce or eliminate inefficiencies. This role will be a hybrid work schedule based at our client's office in Aberdeen.

The Shutdown Coordinator is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the shutdown including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating subcontractors and materials. You will lead specific scopes within the shutdown team to prepare, validate, control and coordinate enabling activities, as well as shutdown execution and close out.

There will be a requirement for some offshore trips and you will supervise onshore development and offshore execution of planned campaign shutdown scopes.

Lead all aspects of onshore development and offshore execution of planned shutdown scopes across the UK Operated and Non-Operated assets.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and companies HSEQ procedures.
- Responsible for safe and efficient development and delivery of all aspects of the planned shutdowns to achieve the required work scopes with minimum production impact and in line with all shutdown objectives.
- Responsible for developing and maintain the shutdown bookies board through the shutdown cycle.
- Accountable for safe and efficient development and delivery of all aspects of the campaign maintenance plan.
- Accountable for supporting implementation of associated continuous improvement opportunities.
- Close out lessons learned from previous shutdowns (starting with the most value adding and risk reducing actions)
- Provide input and ownership of the risk register, identifying and closing out actions.
- Coordination of onshore job owners and sponsors ensuring timely delivery on Shutdown / start-up plans, isolations, materials, permits, and engineering deliverables.
- Mobilise offshore and / or arrange suitable offshore presence to represent the shutdown team during preparation and execution phases of the shutdowns.
- Offshore rota and POB management and training requirements are compliant with the agree Matrix’s.
- Develop the shutdown preparation and execution plans in accordance with company processes and procedures and managing alignment with the relevant asset plan and production delivery plans.
- Manage shutdown scope control to ensure safe and predictable delivery of agreed shutdown objectives.
- Identify all foreseeable risks associated with execution plans and implement appropriate contingency measures.
- Build and maintain effective relationships across the UK organisation onshore and offshore and with vendor / contractor organisations to deliver results and ensure sufficient use of labour and expertise.
- Carry out regular offshore visits for constructability, planning and SIMOPS reviews.
- Ensure a member of the team mobilises offshore to supervise the safe and timely execution of the agreed maintenance outage plans or support smaller scopes from onshore.
- Supervise the development of shutdown campaigns, managing the overall work programme and assigning responsibilities as appropriate, balancing cost discipline with production.
- Ensure long-term campaign shutdown plans are built with scopes bundled together, aligning all maintenance and inspection associated with a given system, forecast, and aligned to the relevant asset plan and production delivery plans.
- Implement arrangements to ensure that all material, tooling, and equipment is identified, ordered and delivered in a timely manner to support the planned execution schedule.
- Accountable for conducting pre-execution and after-action reviews on designated campaign maintenance outages.
- Lead the team in the development of work packs, schedules, permits, isolations, deck-plans and any other deliverables required to support safe execution of the work scope in accordance with the relevant company processes and procedures.
- Conduct after-action review and ensure that actions are implemented to address any lessons identified for sharing across campaign scopes.
- Assess any opportunities to reduce reliance on vendor personnel for tasks which could be undertaken by company and develop a knowledge-transfer plan to address any findings.
- Track and manage cost associated with assigned work programmes, adhering to budget and forecast commitments.
- Ensure team identify all foreseeable risks associated with execution plans and implement appropriate contingency measures.
- Support development and maintenance of shutdown and campaign KPI’s.

- Valid offshore BOSIET and MIST.
