Cyber Security Specialist

" Reporting to the Head of IT you will have primary responsibility for the cyber-security solution at the Company. " Continually assess the cyber threats and develop robust counter-measures to prevent these causing any disruption to our business. " To support the sales organisation in winning new business by demonstrating to key customers that the Company have robust IT security to protect customer IP and continuity of support. " Minimum of 5 years of practical industry experience in cyber-security. " Comprehensive understanding of the cyber threat landscape and the implementation of security measures to mitigate those threats. " Firewall Management (Fortigate experienced preferred) and Pen testing. " Network security and SIEM. " Endpoint security / Antivirus / Application control (Microsoft InTune) / Vulnerability patching and testing. " Security hardening (CIS) of Linux (RHEL, Rocky) and Windows servers. " Experience of implementing/achieving Cyber Essentials + " Security for on-prem and cloud based infrastructure (Azure preferred). Desirable " Authentication/Authorization (Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, SSH, SASL, 2FA) " Knowledge of ISO27001 " Backup (VEEAM) and ransomware protection " Linux auditd and AIDE " Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. " Strong and effective presentation skills, able to operate at multiple levels including senior management. " Self-motivated achiever with a 'can-do' attitude. " Happy to take ownership of problems and provide suitable solutions. " Creative problem solving. " Ability to work in a dynamic environment. " Team player This role is flexible, some UK and international travel required. Applicants must have the right to live and work in UK.
