Community Hub Assistant

**Main Responsibilities**
- Ensure that the centre provides a welcoming, safe, caring and healthy working environment for anchor tenants, staff, volunteers and the wider community.
- Maintain a safe and caring working environment undertaking daily/weekly/monthly checks such as fire safety, security, CCTV, alarms, health & safety.
- Undertake janitorial duties including cleaning, setting up, moving, assembling and dismantling equipment and furniture as required to support the operation for the Centre on a daily basis.
- Ensure effective first point of contact frontline flexible cover for all tenants and visitors during the centre opening and operating hours.
- Undertake reception duties when required - recording bookings, dealing with enquiries, taking delivery of goods, maintaining appropriate records.
- Promote Willowacre Trust events and activities to internal and external colleagues.
- Assist with Willowacre Trust upcycling of household items project including cleaning, repairs, recording, collection, and delivery of goods.
- Assist with property safety and security ensuring general security and safety of the facilities and immediate surroundings, reporting any defects.
- Prepare facilities (inside and outside) for daily service delivery and special events.
- Participate in regular support and supervision sessions.
- Undertake general minor repairs and maintenance within the Centre.
- Undertake general repairs and maintenance of our outdoor space, including litter picking, grass and hedge cutting.
- Participate in team and organisational meetings and training.
- Oversee the general safety and behaviour of the Centre users, to prevent injury, misuse and damage to the facilities and equipment.
- Act as a Fire Warden when the Community Hub Coordinator is not on duty and carry out weekly Fire Alarm Sounder Tests and emergency lighting tests and record the appropriate outcomes for these tests.
- Undertake Fire Marshal duties.
- Undertake First Aid Officer Duties.
- Understand Fire and Health & Safety Regulations.
- Understand Emergency Procedures and rules for evacuating building.
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to all cross team working.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £11.66 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
