Core day to day duties:
- Processing new starters and leavers
- Implementing statutory changes from HMRC such as tax code changes and student loans.
- All types of statutory leave/payments including SMP, ShPP, SSP etc.
- Processing employees’ expenses and overtime in a timely and precise manner whilst adhering to company policy and procedures
- Occasionally manual calculations in case over/under payments on payslips
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate information on spread sheets and databases.
- Assisting in the processing of weekly and monthly payroll including NI, PAYE, SMP and SAP adjustments;
- Administering retrospective payroll changes;
- Completing monthly Payroll reports and correcting any errors;
- Dealing with compliance and regulatory requirements;
- Query resolution and complaint management;
- Amending any incorrect year to date figures for all statutory payments;
- Researching and providing options and solutions to suit business needs;
- Proofreading and checking figures for accuracy;
- Maintaining invoice files and expense reports.
Key Essential skills:
- Experience of working in a payroll function
- Proven numeric skills.
- Information technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Written/drafting skills.
- Analytical skills/data interpretation skills.
- Organisational, administrative skills.
- Experience of effectively working as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: £107.23 per day
