We produce a significant amount of social media content, predominantly shortform video, as part of our retail operations. We need two video editors to support our Creative Director in generating content for TikTok, Instagram (Reels), Facebook, WhatsApp and YouTube (esp Shorts). We are looking specifically for people who have skills with shooting and editing for social media using mobile phones. No experience with large Canon or Sony cameras is required We recognise that there are many specific skills required in editing for social media and we are looking to provide a training environment where you bring basic skills and aptitude and can learn more with us: including new platforms, new tools, new techniques and AI. **Skills Required**: We need to see that you have these skills and expertise: - Use of mobile phone (Apple or Android) to shoot and edit - Able to create and add graphic and sound effects - Knowledge of trending edit styles and techniques esp on TikTok - Knowledge of CapCut, Reels, YouTube Studio and other editors, and fluent use on desktop AND mobile. - Ability to take a longform video (up to 5-10 minutes) and produce shorts. - Ability to work fast and make quick decision on edits. **Qualifications** We do not need to see any specific SATs, GCSEs, BTECs, NVQs. IBs, T Levels or Diplomas, A Levels or Degree Level qualifications But if you are studying or have qualified in the area of editing for social media that would be helpful. We would especially value any of these certifications or qualifications: - TikTok University graduate status - "Miracamp or One Education "CapCut Certificates" - YouTube Creator Academy/YouTube Certified status - Meta Certified Creative Strategist Professional - Adobe Certified Professional (ACP), Final Cut Pro X Certification, Avid Certified User/Professional - Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve Certified End User **Duties** - You would shoot staged shots (with acting creators), static studio product shots or live "on street" vox pops. - Product shots could vary from solar panels and batteries to houses and buildings. - You would often be provided with a "video dump" from a shoot and be required to create shorts from the content.
