**Rate of Pay**:£20 per hour

**Hours**:Two hours per day, lunchtime or early afternoon. Exact timing can be negotiated

**Two Personal Assistants/Carers (Self Employed) **The two carers will cover the whole week between them e.g. one to do weekdays and the other the weekends.

You will support a small team of self-employed live-in carers by providing a two hour break for the live-in daytime carer. Another live-in carer provides night-time care. There are 5 live-in carers in total who work on a rota basis.

The elderly lady lives in Norley, Frodsham with her parrot and her small dog. She has Parkinson’s which has progressed recently resulting in extra help needed in all aspects of her daily tasks.

Experience is required along with relevant qualifications and training in manual handling and the use of a hoist. It’s also important to have the right values and a caring and practical approach, in a job where you can be proud.

MUST ALREADY BE HMRC REGISTERED AND ABLE TO PROVIDE UTR NUMBER

**Overview of Tasks: Duties will include**:
Supervising transfers, assisting with mobilising as well as using the hoist

Personal care needs to ensure client is comfortable throughout the day, continence care, assisting to the toilet, washing and dressing

Medication prompts

Meal preparation to manage and maintain nutrition

Reassurance due to her anxiety and confusion

Maintain logbook and do handovers

Maintaining a habitable home environment

**Person Specification**
- Qualified and experienced in using a hoist and manual handling
- Desirable to have an understanding of Parkinson’s and its progression
- Ability to use own initiative and work within a team
- Honest, reliable, efficient, confident and a good timekeeper
- Good sense of humour
- Non smoker
- DBS check required once successful
- Appointment of applicant is conditional upon receipt of satisfactory references
- Client’s family will be conducting the interviews.

**It is a requirement, due to the nature of this role, that any applicant must have been vaccinated against COVID 19**

MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE A UTR NUMBER AS PROOF OF SELF EMPLOYED

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 14 per week

**Salary**: £20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends only

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Frodsham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Moving and Handling: 2 years (preferred)
- Support Worker: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
