**WORKING HOURS**:Full-Time Pay on a 4 Day Week -Monday to Thursday, 48 Hours per Week. Day and Night Shifts Available

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Production Operative / Loading Shovel Driver who has previous loading shovel experience and using other heavy machinery, enjoys working outside and within a team environment.

Working as a Production Operative / Loading Shovel Driver you will provide support to the department and business operations in day-to-day tasks. You will be established within your role with a Loading shovel certificate and/or experience ideally in a manufacturingor outdoor environment.

As a Production Operative / Loading Shovel Driver you will have excellent attention to detail and be extremely 'hands on’ supporting the plant and Site Manager to meet operational objectives.

**DUTIES**

Your duties as a Production Operative / Loading Shovel Driver will include:

- Provide support to the department and business operations in day-to-day tasks
- You will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to take charge and lead by example and ideally a proven track record within a similar role
- Working as Production Operative / Loading Shovel Driver, working within the Raw Materials Department you will be expected upkeep of all established Health and Safety processes
- Strive to create a positive incident reporting culture within the group to ensure all incidents are properly investigated and root causes established; ensuring recommendations are communicated and implemented
- Complete machines and site inspections multiple times a day across the site, highlight issues in a timely manner
- Contribute to the development of the safety in site whilst hitting operational objectives set by the Site Manager

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence essential
- Loading shovel certificate and/or experience
- 360 Excavator and/or telehandler would be an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff of all levels
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as this role will be working out on the site at times
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Willingness to undertake training and further qualifications highly desirable
- Proven, demonstrable experience in a similar role, ideally gained in a similar industry such as recycling, manufacturing would be desirable
- Flexibility, confidence and use of initiative is essential, thinking on your feet and being adaptable to change, enabling the department to offer an efficient and effective running
