Assistant Finance Manager

Our client is an acquisitive and successful multi site operation who seek to hire an Assistant Finance Manager. This role will suit a progressive finalist or qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant looking for a step up. The role will take ownership of someof their biggest divisions and manage 2 junior reports.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure accurate preparation of the monthly management accounts for 4 key divisions, including revenue, cost, prepayments, accruals and fixed assets
- Business partnering with Regional Sales Directors, providing insightful analysis of costs and revenues and facilitating timely response to queries resulting from the issuing of the management accounts
- Attend monthly/quarterly meetings with Regional Sales Directors to review their P&Ls
- Ownership of the balance sheet review process for the Sales division, ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed in line with the department timetable
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive greater efficiency and accuracy in the production of the management accounts
- Be involved in the preparation of schedules for audit and assist with queries from the group’s auditors during the annual audit process
- Compile tax schedules for preparation of Corporation Tax filing.
- Assist in the production of annual departmental budgets for the Sales division
- Assist in completion of returns to the Office for National Statistics
- Dealing with ad-hoc queries and analysis as required by Finance Manager and Financial Controller.
- Being pivotal in development of 2 direct reports and the wider team as required
A salary of £47,000-£52,000 is on offer plus benefits
