**Role Title**: Mobile Catering Assistant

**Role Summary**: Support the day to day running of our mobile fish & chip van through exceptional customer service, accurate order handling and efficient food preparation - ensuring every customer receives friendly, fast service and an unforgettable experience, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and pride in presentation.

This is a permanent part-time role based in West Sussex, with regular Friday shifts and occasional weekend event work. You’ll play an important part in the continued growth of our mobile catering business, with the opportunity to develop your skills and take on more responsibility as we expand.

From our East Grinstead base, we offer a charming and eye-catching fish and chip van hire service across the South East - perfect for elevating weddings, parties and corporate events with authentic, freshly prepared fish and chips.

Our immaculately presented van doesn’t just serve mouthwatering dishes; it brings people together. Whether we’re parked up at a local pitch or serving at a private function, our goal is to make every event truly memorable through great food, great service and a friendly smile.

**What you will be doing**
- Welcome customers warmly and take orders accurately
- Operate the till, handle cash/card payments and manage orders efficiently
- Package and serve food quickly while maintaining excellent presentation
- Support with setup, restocking, cleaning and close down of the van
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards at all times
- Help create a positive, organised and efficient work environment
- (preferred) Capture photos or short videos for social media and help share the van’s story online
- Represent Trawlers Fish & Chips with professionalism, friendliness and pride
