**On-boarding and Compliance Officer (KYC/AML)**

Full time permanent position

Office based - Weston Super Mare (partial remote working/flexible hours considered)

**Client Onboarding**
- The main purpose of this role is to ensure the relevant KYC checks are completed in a timely manner for new client onboarding. This position plays an essential role in the onboarding process to ensure all pre-screening checks are completed prior to a new client being activated.
- You will be required to identify the Ultimate Controlling Party for new corporate sign ups, scrutinise the submitted documentation and accompanying information, and make decisions as to whether further documentation is needed.
- Using our compliance software you will then electronically verify each person requiring checks to hopefully obtain a pass status, allowing you to activate the client’s service.
- Although we are continually working towards higher levels of automation to aid the compliance process, there are still many parts to this role which require very strong organisation skills to ensure mistakes are kept to a minimum.
- Although client onboarding volume fluctuates alongside sales, it can get extremely busy very quickly, so you must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and be comfortable working under pressure.
- Any client onboarding problems may be escalated to senior management for approval and we have processes in place to make this as efficient as possible.

**Ongoing Monitoring/Additional Tasks**

Alongside client onboarding, you will be required to maintain high levels of ongoing monitoring for all active customers. Tasks include but are not limited to:

- Maintaining good rapport with our building staff around the UK, who will give feedback regarding any suspicious activity that may require attention.
- 12-month compliance checks are required to be carried out on a subset of active clients.
- Requesting new documentation when a new Controlling Party is added to one of our active clients.
- Requesting new documentation when the service address (mail delivery address) is changed.
- Keeping our CRM updated and maintained with the correct information, status and compliance stage.
- Companies House RP07, AD01 and CH01 preparation and filing.
- Following all corporate clients on Companies House, and taking action where necessary.

**Further Information**

You will report directly to the Compliance Manager. Confidence in your spoken communication is integral to ensure you both have efficient and effective discussions on the appropriate decisions to be made, and to make improvements / keep up to date with the relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit.
- Strong experience of administration and an appreciation of organisation.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to prioritise, manage your time effectively and work to deadlines.
