We are seeking an experienced designer to lead on the design, creation and management of high-quality, distinctive marketing materials for The Haven Wolverhampton and associated social enterprise. You will be joining an established development team and will work closely with the development manager and our lead for communications, as well as our fundraising and enterprising teams. We are looking for someone who demonstrates not only design proficiency, but also a real passion for their work, as well as a passion for our cause.

The main tasks, duties and responsibilities of the role include:

- Generate ideas for excellent design content that can be published on various Haven Wolverhampton platforms.
- Responsible for design creation from concept through to production and execution on both quick projects and larger assignments.
- Develop design briefs that align with the organisations purpose/cause for larger projects
- Work closely with colleagues to fulfil deliverables such as documents, leaflets, infographics, digital content, and advertising.
- Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts
- To create a portfolio of template designs in different formats that can be adapted and re-purposed for future marketing materials
- Develop graphics and visual or audio images for product illustrations, logos etc
- Select colours, images, text style, and layout - sticking to brand guidelines
- Present the design to relevant managers and incorporate feedback, retaining responsibility for ensuring the finished product is on-brand
- Review designs for errors before printing or publishing
- Manage the workflow and prioritise the most important briefs with support from the Line Manager
- Manage any print related tasks when required
- Help maintain and enhance brand consistency.
- Develop a variety of visual content that engaging, shareable and relevant to the organisation’s stakeholders.
- To lead on the design work for The Haven Wolverhampton’s annual impact report
