We are looking to recruit Dental Clinical Advisors to join our NHSBSA Dental Clinical Team.

The salary for this post is in line with the Clinical Advisors pay scales and will commence at £77,738 (full time salary) and then on successful completion of the probationary period increase to £82,771 (full time salary).

You will join the Dental Clinical team, working to identify, assure and monitor risks across the NHS dental primary care services, working with Primary Care Organisations, Providers, Performers and patients to ensure high quality patient care and claims probity. Working collaboratively within the NHSBSA and external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing including clinical reports
- Analyse highly complex clinical situations and to explain complex clinical reports to non-clinicians
- Deliver presentations to large and small groups
- Plan and prioritise own workload and to manage conflicting priorities
- Adapt to new ways of working within a changing environment

**In this role, you are accountable for**:
1. Assess the evolving NHS dentistry environment and network with key influences, service providers and service commissioners, to gather information that informs clients and NHSBSA dental policy and appropriate services and products development
2. Work closely on all dental policy and NHSBSA targeted clinical monitoring matters with the Clinical Team and other Senior Managers of the NHSBSA.
3. Work with a wide range of internal and external customers to identify customers’ requirements and support the development of appropriate clinical services and products to meet those needs, ensuring best use of available resources.
4. Support and contribute to review and monitoring of the effectiveness of policies, strategies, resource utilisation and procedures to improve performance and to maintain the targets agreed.
5. Represent the NHSBSA at meetings with external customers (NHS England, PCOs, HBs, GDC, NHS Counter Fraud Services, Providers/Performers and others) to consider matters relating to dental policy and monitoring of primary dental services.
6. Provide dental policy advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
7. To provide clinical opinion and effective analysis and reporting of clinical matters for Information Services.
8. To provide clinical input to the development and implementation of the Risk Management System.
9. To provide clinical input and advice to the NHSBSA Caseworker Team.
10. Meet with NHS England and PCO stakeholders on a regular basis to discuss contracts of concern based on NHSBSA DS information. Proactively feed back to the NHSBSA on the relevance of this information and put forward suggestions for change through formal reports and risk analysis research.
11. Ensure that information is collected on the outcomes for contracts where extra NHSBSA activity has been provided and ensure this is regularly reported to the Senior Management Team and through the Risk Management Forum.
12. Take responsibility for analysing the information provided to health bodies from the NHSBSA to look for potential risks.
13. Work closely with NHS England and PCOs to report on NHSBSA monitoring activities and agree appropriate further monitoring activities where required.
