- Create the group network master plan incorporating the divisional supply plans and make planning recommendations to minimise costs, maximise operational capability and create a platform for service delivery.
- Create scenarios (initiated by divisional planning or Logistics) to demonstrated network optimisation options, recommend solutions based on those scenarios.
- Lead the Network plan review creating group and divisional clarity on the key points of issue and providing clear recommendations for decision making.
- Manage the network master planning system (excel tool), incorporating (Plant stock holding, intersite stock movements, 3PL stock holding, covering the period from 24 months to the planning time fence.
- Support the Logistics function through provision of medium
- and long-term plans to guide achievement of strategic objectives.
- Initiate and lead improvement projects designed to reduce stocks, improve customer service and or efficiency (e.g. increased used of Push)
- Support the Logistics function through provision of short-term plans to maximise short term operational efficiencies whilst achieving service level targets. Where necessary respond to forecast volatility changes (production / sales fluctuations) and ensure both logistics and manufacturing are aligned on response to those changes.
- Support the divisional master planners through an iterative process to resolve points of operational conflict.
- Identify issues and costs associated with obsolete and slow-moving stock
- Supporting the business on stock reporting (cross-divisional)
