Veterinary Receptionist

**We have a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our very busy team here at Anton Vets**

As a receptionist you will provide a balance of empathy and professionalism to our clients and their animals. The position is fast paced at times, you will need to be able to work well within a team and give outstanding attention to detail and consistency.

Main duties would include:

- Answering the telephone, booking appointments and processing prescription requests from clients.
- Dealing with clients at the reception desk, taking cash and card payments and assisting with enquiries.
- Accurately recording client and animal information on our IT system.
- Liaising with the vets and nurses as well as contacting other veterinary practices to request medical history or to arrange referrals.
- Cleaning duties are involved.

The role of Veterinary Receptionist is important to the whole team, supporting nurses and vets as well as the clients. The successful applicant needs to be forward thinking and organised, with the ability to work well under pressure.

It is important that the applicant will be able to offer flexibility to allow for cover of colleagues' holidays or periods of sickness.

Previous veterinary receptionist experience would be preferable but not essential as full training will be given to the successful applicant.

The salary for this position will be in line with National Minimum Wage +3% cost of living increase.
