It is an exciting time to join our Podiatry team in Harrow and we are seeking a Full time Band 5 Podiatrist to join us as we continue to build upon existing models and introduce new ways of working.

Our transformation plans over the next 12 months will include further integration with primary care, planned and unplanned care models and a greater emphasis on population health.

To provide high-quality care to a diverse range of podiatry patients in a wide variety of settings. To assess diagnose, treat, plan and manage the podiatric (lower limb and foot care) needs of the local and transient populations in a wide variety of settings, in order to maintain patient mobility and independence

To work in collaboration with a team of Podiatrists and other care providers to ensure seamless care delivery for all patients and where appropriate to liaise with and refer and work under direction on Band 6.

The post holder will be expected to undertake appropriate clinical rotation(s) and will be supported by supervision and mentoring sessions.

The post holder will, with their manager identify their knowledge and skills and will be encouraged to work towards the skills and knowledge level of a Specialist Podiatrist

He/she will manage their own caseload, seeking guidance from a senior Podiatrists when appropriate.

He/she will liaise effectively with Podiatrists, Podiatry Assistants, Technical and Clerical staff within the Trust, as well as external individuals and organisational contacts.

He/she will be able to work independently, adopting a problem solving approach.

**Skills/Competencies Required**:

- Good knowledge of podiatric treatment modalities
- High level of hand eye co-ordination,
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent organising skills - planning caseload and activities
- Fit enough to carry out the skills of the job
- Team player
- Ability delegate to assistants
- Good IT Skills (experience in Emis would be an advantage)
- Self motivated
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Knowledge/understanding of the NHS

The successful applicants will be expected to complete a preceptorship programme in their first year.

Applicant needs to be a car driver with use of a car.
