**Student Support Officer**

Burlington School has an exciting new position at our International School of English in Balham, London. We’re looking for a highly motivated new team member to join us to help and support our students.

**Duties**:
You will work from our front of house area of the school at our student services desk which acts as the first point of call for many of our students and staff. General duties are detailed below:
**Reception / General**
- To act as the first point of contact for students at our front reception area, assisting with questions and providing information to them. Working independently and to use your own initiative when dealing with unexpected student problems referring more complex problems to the appropriate manager.
- Providing administrative support to; operations, marketing and the facilities team, feedback process, the student visa process, student registration and travel arrangements.
- Managing office supplies to maintain an efficient work process for all teams.
- Maintaining our student data system ensuring student records are kept up to date.
- Support with the production of student letters.
- Taking payments from students and handling cashing up from tills.
- General clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, laminating, and scanning.
- Minute taking of meetings.
- Receiving and sorting post for the office and students.
- Support with graphic design using Canva.
- Support with Social Media
- Supporting our Spanish/Italian sales team

**Skills/Experience**:
Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook

Keen interest in Canva

Excellent telephone manner

Social media experience

Timely manner

Proficient in English

**Desirable**:
Spanish/Italian/Portuguese speaking

**Hours of Work**

Monday to Friday

40 hours per week

8:30am to 5:30

Weekend work available working with student socials team
