**The Street Diner** is looking for flexible, hardworking, enthusiastic individuals to join our team as we travel across the UK, serving up delicious food at world-class events. (Flexible availability required as hours and dates to be worked are fluid).
**Job Summary**
**Who We’re Looking For**:
We need reliable, energetic individuals for the following roles:
- **Kitchen Porters / Porters** - with plenty of catering experience to keep our operations running smoothly by supporting food preparation and maintaining cleanliness.
- **Waiting Staff / Servers / Till Operators** - with proven experience of customer service.
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
- Help keep kitchen equipment and utensils organised and in good condition.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
- Maintain a tidy work area, ensuring that all surfaces are cleaned regularly.
- Handling Payments - card and cash, giving the correct change.
- Customer service - greeting and serving customers.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A keen interest in culinary practices and food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
**Preferred Skills and Qualities**:
- **Hardworking and well-presented** - Show up ready to work with a positive attitude and attention to detail given to personal appearance.
- **Willingness to travel and camp** - Some of our events will require overnight stays or camping for longer periods and its essential you are up for this.
