Trade Specialist Painting and Decorating JRL Modular - Newark Contract: Permanent

**JOB TITLE**: TRADE SPECIALIST -PAINTING AND DECORATING

**REPORTING TO**: PRODUCTION MANAGER

**STRATEGIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
Experienced within your specialised field, you will determine the best method to complete tasks, set the standard times for each task, identify the tools and equipment required, establish the quality acceptance criteria, and train Team Members to achieve this criteria.
**THE ROLE**:
You will work closely with the Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to ensure all process data is recorded and captured.
You will also be required to act as cover for Production Supervisors in the event of holiday and absence.
**DUTIES**:

- To set an exemplary standards to all you mentor with emphasis on H&S, Quality, Output and Housekeeping.
- Support the pilot build process and determine the optimum manufacturing process for relevant all tasks.
- Determine the standard times and quality criteria for all relevant tasks.
- Specify all tools and equipment required.
- Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) which will be used as the source information for Team Member training.
- Train all team members in accordance with the relevant SOP, and validate the training in accordance with internal procedure.
- Work within the Production team when no training or pilot build activities are required.
- Support the resolution of manufacturing problems and improvements primarily in the areas of Productivity, labour Efficiency and Quality.

**SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED**:

- Trade Qualified with significant hands on experience within your relevant specialised field.
- Able to read and interpret design drawings.
- Confident, articulate, approachable, listening, respectful, enthusiastic & a good communicator.

TERMS
There is no plan to change the standard factory hours.
Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm, Friday 7.30am to 3.00pm (40 hours), Unpaid 30 minute lunch break.
- Annual leave 20 days per annum plus bank holidays.
