greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Financial Reporting and Controls Manager to join a large multinational B2B business in Birmingham.

This is an ideal role for a qualified accountant looking to make your first or second move in industry.

Reporting into the Head of Financial Accounting this role is responsible for financial accounts in to Group as well as various stautory reporting requirements. With a big emphasis on controils and procedures you will tasked with implementing best practiceacross all accounting processes, esuring adherence and compliance and reporting on any risks.#

Key Tasks Include:

- Provide technical expertise on all financial accounting matters.
- Ensure accurate production of the statutory accounts through strong accounting controls and robust account mapping in to the consolidation system.
- Ensuring that all external financial reporting requirements are met.
- Manage key balance sheet control accounts
- Enhance reporting requirements to improve transparency around all compliance.
- Responsbility for Fixed Asset accounting and reporting
- Maintain and develop the Fixed Asset register
- Ensure that all accounting requirements are met and cash flow is optimised on Capex projects.
- Support the continual development of financial reporting systems from a controls and compliance persepctive.
- Support the Financial Accounting team's reporting projects

The Person
- Qualified accountant with a strong background in controls, compliance and risk assurance
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Excellent MS Excel, Word and Office skills
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
