- Senior Rotational Physiotherapist (Acute Services and Rehabilitation Unit)

**Location** - The Wellington Hospital, London

**Contract Type**:

- Permanent, part time at 37.5 hours per week

**Salary Range -**Competitive dependent upon skills and experience. This position is equivalent to a NHS band 6.

**Job Description**

As a Senior 2 Physiotherapist at the Wellington Hospital you will carry out accurate physiotherapy assessment, clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients with diverse clinical presentations (predominantly neurological), and complex physical and psychologicalneeds in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.

**This post involves a 6 month rotation to the Acute Neurology and Neurosurgical Unit and Neurological Outpatients **following which you will return to the Rehabilitation unit.**

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- To work as an effective member of the physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team in the development of therapy services at The Wellington Hospital and within the HCA group.
- To implement cler, clinically reasoned and appropriate individualised treatment plans which are regularly reviewed and updated
- To undertake comprehensive assessments of patients, including those with diverse or complex pathology/presentations using appropriate clinical reasoning skills, observation skills and manual assessment skills to provide an accurate physiotherapy diagnosisand understanding of their condition
- To provide physiotherapy intervention where there may be barriers to understanding such as foreign language or due to speech/hearing/visual impairment, cognitive/perceptual difficulties
- To participate in the weekend emergency on call rota and weekend staffing rota
- To support the physiotherapy service working flexibly across the working week.

**Skills & Experience**
- HCPC Registration
- Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent
- Post registration broad clinical experience in neurology, cardiorespiratory including tracheostomy management, musculoskeletal/orthopaedics and general medicine/elderly care with an interest in the field of neurology
