This position fills a vacancy in our Applied Sciences Department, in the recently formed Computer Science Team. The department was created to research and develop new technologies that are relevant to Innovative Technology, and this teams ethos follows thisvery closely. **Our Opportunity**

As our Software Engineer (Python, Mid/Senior), you will be working within a small team of dedicated engineers, working closely with our Data Scientists, to deliver machine learning pipelines for our transaction automation products.

You will have a passion for elegant solutions and want to be a key member of a multidisciplinary team and take on a diverse set of challenges, from optimising existing algorithms and developing new ones, to setting up CI/CD pipelines, to replacing agingsystems and processes with modern, innovative solutions.

We give our engineers full responsibility for their projects, empower them to make decisions and support them to implement the right solution.

Ideally you will have at least two years’ experience in a relevant field, with an excellent theoretical grounding in object orientated programming in any language, and the desire and drive to learn.

**Working as part of our Applied Sciences Team, as ourSoftware Engineer (Python, Mid/Senior)you will**:

- Turn models and algorithms developed by our Data Scientists into performant and robust code.
- Productionise and automate machine learning pipelines.
- Contribute towards improving ITL’s internal data processing, data visualisation and task automation tools
- Mentor other engineers and share the skills you’ve learned.

**Skills & Experience we’re looking for in our successful Software Engineer (Python, Mid/Senior)**:

- A love for writing beautiful and maintainable code.
- Experience developing solutions with Python.
- A keen interest in machine learning
- Experience of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience of CI/CD systems
- Experience with Python machine learning libraries
- Experience working in an agile team
