**JOB PURPOSE**
- To improve the outcomes and life chances of children, young people and their families in Leicestershire by:
- Working with First Response Children’s Duty to ensure appropriate transfer of referrals between the teams and engaging in threshold discussions as required.
- Ensuring that referrals received are of good enough quality/are appropriate in order to support management of capacity within the service
- Supervising a team of coordinators and process support staff
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:
- Significant and demonstrable and relevant knowledge and experience evidenced against the headings below including significant experience of working within children and family services in a multi-agency environment
- Experience of influencing and supporting other agencies including senior managers as well as practitioners
- Experience of working within Children's services
- Experience of supporting families and children including those from diverse background
- A thorough working knowledge and understanding of early help services and early help interventions.
- The ability to recognise safeguarding concerns and the skills to present risk in a coherent and thoughtful way to ensure correct decisions are made
- Ability to deliver training, coaching, share information, etc in a way which motivates and inspires others to develop their practice
