**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Café Assistant to join our vibrant team at the Terrace Park Café & Kitchen. The role will support the existing team during the busier period of the day, 2-4 shifts a week (within school hours) assisting both back and front of house.

**Duties**
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring that all items are prepared according to health and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, making coffees and serving food and drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Adhere to food safety regulations to ensure the highest quality of food and drink is served.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

**Skills**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to help where needed across various tasks.

Pay: £11.44-£12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
