The Pet Quarter is a pet food retailer that specialises in pet nutrition with branches in Yarm and Stokesley High Street.

What's the role?

Your role will be at the heart of our pet shops, and you will ensure our customers have a great experience that sets us apart and drives customer loyalty for our great brands. Our Store Colleagues are critical to the success of our business.

They are responsible for exceeding our customer's expectations daily, ensuring the highest standard of pet care, brilliant operational standards, and building strong relationships with our customers and colleagues.

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the shop. If you are a multitasker with strong communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities: - Greet customers and assist them with their inquiries - Provide product information and recommendations to customers - Process customer orders and handle cash transactions accurately - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor - Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed - Assist with receiving and unpacking shipments - Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Detail-oriented with good organizational skills Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. **Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £9.00-£11.77 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
