**Branch Manager - Auto Parts**
**Location**:Loanhead, Edinburgh, EH20 9LZ
**Salary**: Competitive, DOE
**Contract**:Full Time, Permanent
**Hours**: Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm (normal hourly rate) 2 Saturday per month 8am - 12.30pm (paid at time and a half)

We are looking for an experienced **Branch Manager** with excellent interpersonal and communications skills, who will contribute towards the continuing success and development of the Loanhead branch, and the Company as a whole.

This will be achieved by developing sound customer relationships, promoting a productive, co-operative, convivial team environment, and working to meet or exceed sales targets while delivering the best service and quality to customers.

This is a branch-based role where you will spend the majority of your working time at the Loanhead branch, serving customers and fulfilling all aspects of personnel and operations management.

Please note that occasional travel may be required to visit customers.

**Branch Manager - Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Ensure a first-class level of customer service is achieved by your branch at all times.
- Ensure that the Company's good reputation is protected and, through proactive action, enhanced.
- Make every effort to win business from existing and new customers without excessive risk to profit.
- Make every effort to grow the profitability of the branch.
- Be responsible for the staff under your care and ensure that Company rules and policy, as set out in the Company Handbook - or as instructed by the Directors - as well as Health & Safety Policy are adhered to at all times.
- Supervise the performance of all staff at your branch. Provide support as necessary.
- Assist Company Directors with recruitment and disciplinary matters.
- Act as the main point of contact for the branch and ensure issues, problems, opportunities etc are communicated effectively to the right people.
- Perform all parts selling and delivery duties as required.
- Perform sales and support calls to customers as needed.
- Collect monies owed by customers and ensure safe transit of all money and cheques to head office.
- In co-operation with the Warehouse Manager at Leith, oversee the functions of goods inwards, stock management and stock checking duties as needed.
- In co-operation with the Warehouse Manager at Leith, perform or organise any building maintenance tasks as required.
- Liaise with other branches to ensure that relevant delivery requirements are communicated.
- In particular, liaise with field sales staff regularly to keep them abreast of problems and opportunities.
- Assist with training for trainees and other staff members.
- Attend meetings at head office (St Clair Street) when needed.
- Resolve, where possible, any customer problems or complaints. Ensure that if unable to resolve, any issues are communicated to the Company Director.
- Provide assistance to other staff members in the company where required.
- Provide cover as and when needed - predominantly at your own branch, but occasionally at other branches.
- Make suggestions to the Company Director where changes and improvements need to be made.
- Participate in the development and improvement of the business with proactive suggestions and discussions with the Company Director.
- Provide assistance in any other area of the business, where qualified and required, as directed by the Company Director.

**Branch Manager - What we need from you**:
In addition to this you will:

- Have experience within a fast-paced sales-driven environment
- Have previous Management and / or supervisor experience
- Live within a commutable distance or be based in the Edinburgh or Lothian area
