**Area Sales Manager - Construction Products**
**Purpose of the Role of Area Sales Manager - Construction Products**:
Working closely with a supportive and knowledgeable technical support team you will have responsibility for growing sales of waterproofing chemicals and membranes used for projects within the infrastructure sector, commercial, public and multi-storey residentialbuildings sector. You will be tasked with protecting and breaking project specifications with main contractors, civil contractors, concrete frame contractors, specialist sub-contractors and applicators across south east England with a focus on the GreaterLondon area. Throughout the sales cycle of each project, you will liaise closely with an Area Specification Manager, who writes the specification.
**Responsibilities of the Role of Area Sales Manager - Construction Products**:
- Build relationships and network across multiple levels within a variety of construction contractors
- Build a pipeline of construction project sales opportunities
- Protect construction project specifications
- Break construction project specifications
- Pass project leads to approved sub-contractors and applicators
- Customer negotiation
- Use Glenigans and internal leads to identify new sales prospects
- Provide customer technical support
- Collaboration with other sales team members who will write specifications
**For the position of Area Sales Manager - Construction Products, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria**:
- Must have sold a technical construction materials to contractors
- Understanding of the project specification process
- New business development
- Strong negotiation skills
- Initiative and able to work independently
- Tenacious, resilient and a desire to exceed targets
- Must be well presented, ambitious, driven, enthusiastic, articulate and personable
- Driving licence
