**SEN Teaching Assistant - Fareham**

**Pay**: £14.33 - £15.93 per hour
**Hours**: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term-time only)
**Contract**: Temporary / Long-term / Permanent opportunities
**Start Date**: ASAP

We are seeking _SEN Teaching Assistants_ to work in our vibrant schools in Fareham and Gosport, supporting pupils with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), social and communication challenges, and complex learning profiles.

**The Role**
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with EHCPs (Education, Health & Care Plans)
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Implement strategies to help pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Assist teachers with classroom management and resource preparation
- Build trusting relationships with pupils, promoting confidence and independence
- Monitor and record progress, sharing feedback with teaching staff and SENCOs

**Requirements**:

- Minimum _6 months' experience_ working with children or young adults in education, care, or specialist settings within the last 2 years
- Empathy, patience, and adaptability
- Strong communication skills for working with pupils, staff, and parents
- A proactive, supportive, and positive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
